Food coloring
Did you know
In our lineup, we can offer EXBERRY® food colors that are produced from fruits, vegetables and edible plants through physical processing methods. This makes them significantly different from both artificial and selectively extracted additives.
In general, there are three predominant classifications of food colors:
- Artificial dyes ® chemically synthesized
- Selectively extracted additive dyes ® originate from a natural source and undergo selective extraction, often using chemicals, to create a functional additive (e.g. beta-carotene, carmine, anata extract)
- Food coloring ® edible raw materials that have not been subjected to selective extraction of pigments that occur in nature
Advantage of these colors is that they are really natural solutions made from fruits, vegetables and edible plants. All colors are stable for a wide range of food and beverage applications. They are suitable for vegetarian, vegan, kosher and halal diets, and a slogan on the label “Clean And Clear” is possible.
